I went to this place of business for a brief meeting with the owner, Mr. Phea. When following up on the first call, Mr. Phea, was not on site, however a gentleman greeted me at the door and called me by my first name. Having never met this gentleman before, I was impressed that he knew and called me by my first name. On my next visit with Mr. Phea, I mentioned the incident to him and his comment was, "I train them." I was impressed with the personal and authentic attitude he has demonstrated for his employees.

I used to go into this convenience store every morning until I moved to north Austin. All the guys that work there were always so friendly. They would great me with "Good morning, Sarah, how are you today?" and send me off with "Have a great day!". These guys always knew what I was there to buy and what was going on in my life. They really pay attention to their customers. Best convenience store in Austin by far!
Central Market

We went to Central Market for a favorite brand of salami, but they were out of the kind we wanted. Mark in the deli department went out of his way to recommend several other items that he thought we might enjoy. He was accommodating, very generous, and even found us in the store later to bring us our order, rather than making us pick it up. He was one of the friendliest people we have ever met, and gave us a great impression of Central Market. It was obvious that Mark loves his work, and we will go back often because of the experience. Way to go!

I visited this store after visiting all the locally owned businesses when I was shopping for a refrigerator. I was not intending to buy at Conn's. I was greeted by salesman Richard Thompson, who was knowledgable and eager to do business without being too pushy or obnoxious. In the end I bought a refrigerator, a better model for the same price that I was prepared to pay at the other stores. My delivery was set but on that morning the message I received gave a much later time that what I had arranged for. I was able to reach the dispatcher, explained the situation. He said he would see what he could do and would call back in 30 minutes. He called back when he said he would and got the delivery worked out to meet my schedule. All in all, I am very pleased that I made my purchase at Conn's and will definitely return there for future needs.

While in a long line for lunch this young lady noticed the situation from the back and without prompting rushed up to open a new register. She then worked through the line faster than I've ever seen anyone move, while making everyone feel good. Within 5 minutes she had the line down to a very manageable level. Sometimes it's the acts of a single individual that give an entire organization, even one the size of Costco, a great impression.

Chad greeted me on the sidewalk as I got out of my car! He listened to what I requested and only suggested one change, which was a recommendation from Michelin. He did not try to up-sell me. He offered me a very good price on tires to match the ones I had, but showed me options on lower-priced tires, not higher-priced! This was a thoroughly pleasant experience: the price was right, the people were friendly and knowledgeable, and I will take all my tire business there in the future!

I usually hate shopping. The fitting room experience is my least favorite part. Either you can only take in five items, or you have to get dressed again to find your right size, and then risk losing the fitting room, etc. At Express, my experience is totally different! Reese greets me and offers clothing suggestions that I may not try by myself. She helps me pick the right size and honestly tells me when something does or doesn't look good on me. She is quick, friendly and accurate. I always leave with outfits that I LOVE and feel great in. Since I've started shopping there, I've had the most pleasant shopping experiences of my life. And, I get compliments every time I wear something Reese has helped me pick out. It's obvious that she's having fun and knows what she's doing! Now, when I go shopping, my first stop is a visit to Reese at Express!

When I was cooking spaghetti sauce for my family's Christmas dinner, I discovered one of the cans of tomato sauce had been opened— after it went into the sauce. I alerted H-E-B. The manager, Gary, comped all the ingredients of my sauce—$40, to be safe and to make up for the open can on the shelf.

Steven was over-the-top in customer service. He was more than helpful and informative in giving us gardening advice. Stayed with us way past what most employees would do and then carried our purchase to the front for us because we didn't have a basket. He was extremely knowledgeable about gardening and customer service. You could tell that he loved what he was doing. What a pleasure to do business with him!

My husband and I recently started car shopping which is not only a huge undertaking but also a disagreeable one for me as I hate to deal with salespeople! My husband took on the challenge. He found the perfect salesperson at Howdy Honda in Jeff Ellis. He is a great person to work with. Not pushy, very nice and extremely affable. I would recommend him to anyone. After the sale, he even spent an hour going over every detail in the car with us. The entire experience was great! PS We ended up with a Honda Pilot. I love it!

In July this year my doctor sent me to Karavel for an orthotic device and shoes. Yesterday, I noticed that the straps and velcro fasteners were coming unraveled and loose. We live 40 miles away from the store but drove in to get them fixed as I wear them every day. With apologies and instant attention, they pulled the shoe repairman off the job he was working on and fixed my shoes while we waited. When done, they apologized again and told me if it ever happened again, to call and mail them in to save us the long drive! Will I return to Karavel's store—what do you think? Their reputation for quality is well deserved.

During the 1/2 hour I was in the store, there were at least four clerks who asked me if I needed any help. I was most impressed because in other stores you cannot find a clerk to ask. They were out and about and willing to help and answer questions, and they were very pleasant as well.

I had a very expensive pair of tennis shoes that I had owned for six months, which started squeaking. Ryan took time to talk to me check them out, try to repair them and ended up giving me a new pair of shoes. He was very knowledgeable in regard to his business. Really stood behind his product and his company. He was very friendly and personable. He obviously loved what he was doing even though the computer was down. He was a delight and a very positive person!

Anne-Marie consistently delivers superior service to all customers. She is very helpful and friendly. On more than one occasion she has gone "above and beyond" to make sure I get what I need, even if her store doesn't have what I'm looking for. It's rare to find someone in a retail environment that is so knowledgeable and friendly. Many customers (and friends of mine) always ask for Anne-Marie by name. She deserves a BIG pat on the back.

Even though Joel was "in training", he was a better employee than I have seen in a long time. He was kind, funny and bent over backwards to find a box for a large briefcase that I purchased as a gift. Then, when I had to return it (after all that trouble he went through to find a big enough box) he acted glad to help me with that too. He is great! I will be back to that Office Depot location even though it is out of my way!

Kenneth Davis is one of the consistently most friendly employees Randall's has ever had. He has worked there for as long as I've shopped there and is always friendly, upbeat, energetic, and on-the-ball as to any problems a customer may be having. He always has an eye out for any potential problems at the store on in the parking lot. My attitude and mood improves every time I shop and he's there. We love you, Mr. Davis!

I was looking for an electric shaver for my husband and hadn't a clue how to choose one. Two lady employees were especially helpful and took the time to help me compare products and make a decision. This was my first visit to a Sears store in several years . I will definitely go back, as they provided the best service I've received at any retail store in many, many years. They were exceptional!

Whole Foods

I had gone into Whole Foods on Capital of Texas (360) and H-183 in search of some fresh fruit for a family get-together. I was trying to pick a really good pineapple when this young man asked if he could help. I told him that I was looking for a really sweet, juicy pineapple to go with the other fruit and why I needed it to be ripe but not overripe the next day. He helped pick one but then he went the extra mile saying that the lady in the back really knew how to pick them because she cut the fruit they put in the prepared fruit packs and that they use for samples. So he took the one he had picked back to her and in a little while came back with a different one because the woman gave him one she said was perfect. The next day, I cut that pineapple and it was, indeed, excellent.

I called last night at 7:45 to see how late they were open. The woman who answered the phone said, "9:00, but I can stay open later if you need me to!" WOW.
